The goal of the Caregivers Support Coalition is to increase
the support and services available for caregivers of older
adults by :

  1. Developing a caregiver training curriculum to help
    caregivers understand and care for older adults
    with chronic or disabling diseases
  2. Researching alternative respite models to increase
    options beyond current programs
  3.  Developing a self-care program to facilitate
    caregiver support and socialization
  4. Identifying the needs of grandparents raising
    grandchildren; develop and implement a program
    to meet those needs
