The Senior Policy Network is being shaped by Clallam County community members so we can have greater influence over government policies that affect local seniors.
The Senior Policy Council is the center of this effort. Made up of local citizens, they receive training in legislative advocacy and education about current aging and health care policies. The Council is creating an organized way for our county to do advocacy on the same issues at the same time. It’s true – there is strength in numbers!
One of five of us in Clallam County is 65 or older, an astounding percentage compared to the state and nation. Any tweak in aging policies and programs affect our county ten-fold.
